It is quite possible that I am the worst blogger in the W O R L D???

Is there a contest, if so I should enter.. TODAY!

Sorry, I still haven't recapped Ethiopia, posted pictures, made a photo album of our trip or of Abby's second and third years for that matter. But if I list my "to do" we might be here all day.

Things are going good, albiet crazy at casa d' landfair. I am back to work as of 12/14/09 and Matt is on second shift. We are getting into a new routine and getting it all figured out.

The kids are wonderful, amazing and warm my heart every day. Abby is a good big sister... most of the time. She despises when Kenny is sleeping and if she is up she has desginated herself to waking him up at all costs.. UGH, it is very frustrating. Kenny is doing great, smiling, happy and loving the jumperoo. He suprisingly LOVES the craziness at our house. Friends and family coming and going seem to not phase him as long as mama is near by. He loves the dogs, fisher especially, alice annoys him, but in all fairness she annoys the rest of us too.

Pictures are coming and so is that recap of Ethiopia, and maybe a photo album of our trip... don't hold your breath.. :-)

So Much to be Thankful For......

It still hard to believe some days that he is here. That WE have been to Ethiopia and that we ARE finally a family of four. Heck, sometimes it is still hard to believe Abby is here. We tried so long to conceive a child, even though at the time it was so difficult to see, I am so thankful that we never did. If we had our lives would be so different and what I believe so incomplete.

The journey to both of our children has tried and strengthened our marriage, tried our finances but also helped us realized that together if we put our minds to it and our faith in God, things will happen.

Everyday I am thankful for my children's birth mothers, our loving family and friends and of course the love and smiles of our children. They dynamic of expanding our family to four has been unique and amazing. Not without trials things have been amazing.

Kenny is now well adjusted to our new crazy life and to his big sister who is referred to as the baby police. He is used to our dogs loitering near him, his mama holding him constantly, the noise, the music, the chaos and mostly the love. My family teases me indicating that in one months time I have taken a perfectly content baby who was happy resting on his own to being full of demands and knowing that at every sqwak mama will come running. To me, my first mission is complete, he knows that no matter what mama will come running.

So on this Thanksgiving week, what are you thankful for? What course in life have you taken that wasn't always planned but yet still turned out just the way it was meant to be? For us, the journey to our children has never been simple, but we would never change a thing for the world. It is my hope and prayer that our journey to Kenny isn't our last child journey, but if it is, I will know it is the way it is meant to be.

Happy Thanksgiving, more pictures coming.. promise.

We are HOME!!

Thank you for everyone's thoughts and prayers. I will be doing a journal and adding pictures of everyday sometime this week. Also our family of four pictures are coming but they are on a different camera.

Kenny did great on the flight home, he is a much better flyer than mama that is for sure. We made it safe and sound and we are grateful! Seeing Abby again was amazing, she is VERY protective of her baby brother and limits other people's holding time. I am sure that will fade for her as his novelty wears off once she realizes he takes our time away from her. We are excited to make this transition of a family of three to a family of four.

Here a few for now.

Daddy and Kenny shortly after arriving at the guesthouse from the care center.

At the care center after just meeting him the first time.

After getting all cleaned up and putting on our first new outfit from mama.

All our love,

HE IS OURS!!!

HE IS OURS!!!!!

So when I posted last we were told one hour, because he was at the embassy getting his bloodwork done. We busied ourselves for an hour or so, then the guesthouse manager told us it might be another two... We did some puzzles, cleaned the room, etc. I watched out the window. Every noise I would jump. Beti, our cook, called us down for lunch and told us after lunch we could have him...

I made matt eat my lunch too... just so we could go, I was too excited!! SO FINALLY after lunch we took a bumpy ride to the care center, it isn't far. We walked in and I saw some of the other babies. I saw Simera.. (So cute Holly) and Miss Jimmiti was CRAWLING!

Then they took us into the room with Gadissa, there he was, I noticed him right away. I started crying because his nannies were crying. I didn't want to scare him as I was so different but the emotion was so overwhelming. He was scared to leave his nannies. They are so so so good to him.

We talked with the head nanny, signed him out and took him back to the care center. There he was understandable scared and crying.. I just talked and sang to him until he fell asleep on me, when he woke an hour or so later, he was a little more comfortable and we are now beginning the bonding process.

He is soo cute, I would LOVE to show you all some pictures, but as it turns out it is Ethiopia, I am using an internet cafe AND.. well.. there isn't a USB port on these computers. Maybe we will try to go to the Hilton later.

Waiting mamas, today we are going to the care center to see all the kids, play with them all. deliver care packages and take pictures.

As for kenny, he is amazing, cuter than any picture, still tiny. He wears 3-6 month cloths comfortably, has a little bit of hair and has already figured out that if he cries in the least bit mama comes a runnin'. We love it. He loves to eat! He actually prefers falling asleep with a bottle in his mouth...

We love you all, we are homesick terrible and miss Abby so much!

As my mom always says, we are off "like a big assed bird"

EXACTLY!!! 250 pounds of suitcases and carry ones.

We made it to DC... but there is a delay, so I figured what better opportunity then to try and keep this updated.

Here we are with our luggage... (excuse the fact that I look like a disaster... I had been crying for 2 hours over having to leave Abby)

okay well the pictures won't work which might be God saving you from seeing the disaster that I was in the picture

well our chariot is awaiting.. more soon!!!

Keep praying!
